There are different methods of branding used.
on the cattle ranges. This one is most com-
monly used when working near the home ranch.
The use of a corral makes the work easier for
the boys. Note the smoke from the branding
irons, and the white cow who listens to the
bellowing of her calf which is being branded.
One of these cow boys has since gained much
fame as a writer of western short stories.
