The Mammoth Hotel is superbly situ-
ated on the plaza facing Fort Yellow-
stone, with scenic environments beyond
compare.
Fort Yellowstone is one of
the most attractive, and certainly is the
most unique posts in the country. There
are usually four troops of cavalry
quartered in the park and the com-
mandant is the acting superintendent of
the park Liberty Cap is an extinct
crater about forty feet high.
