Lincoln, Author Boston Cook Book Remove the juice from four large lemons with a glass lemon scraper. Strain it and add on teaspoon of Foss' Pure Extract of Lemon, and sufficient fine granulated sugar to make it the consistency of batter. Pack the freezer with ice and salt. Pour one quart of milk into the can add the lemon batter, cover and freeze. Turn slowly but steadily until frozen. The milk in this receipt will not curdle if you follow directions closely and use for the flavoring Foss' Pure Extract of Lemon. When in need use Foss' Pure Extract of Vanilla or Orange
