Surmounted by a magnificent copper dome,
crested with a statue of Liberty, the State
Capitol of Montana is located in Helena, Cost-
ing approximately $1,200,000.00 to complete,
the Capitol Building was dedicated in 1902.
The central portion is made of Montana sand
stone and the adjacent wings are of native
granite. Provided with a naturally beautiful
site, the mountains rising magnificently in
the distance, silently portray the soundness
and security upon which the government of
Montana is founded.
