One of the Scout requirements is to be able to swim and it is quite natural that their camp is usually placed near a good stream or lake which will provide the morning dip and in order to secure the greatest pleasure from this sport, the Scouts here have built a diving board by anchoring a plank under the stones on the shore and laying it over a buck they have made by binding saplings together with thongs - tools in this case, as in most instances in Scout life being considered unnecessary |
