EAST GLACIER PARK, MONTANA
Glacier Park Lodge, located on the east side, just
outside the boundary of the park. Sixty immense
timbers, which were probably 500 to 800 years old
when cut in Washington State, were used in the
construction of the lodge. At the time these timbers
were set in place with their original bark still intact, the
Indians called Glacier Park Lodge, "Oom-Coo-La-Mush-
Taw," The Big Tree Lodge.
