Early in 1900 the yacht"Hawaii" was
built by public subscription of people in Hono-
lulu and the Islands. Every year it partici
pates in a race between ports in California
and Hawaii and has been a source of pride to
all residents of Hawaii. It is owned by the
Hawaiian Yacht Club composed of the leading
Yachtsmen of Honolulu.
