WALTHAM HOSPITAL. What was called Waltham Cottage
Hospital was started in Waltham in 1886, but the present
institution was not begun until a few years later. The existing
buildings were completed in 1892 and are valued at $ 50,000.
The hospital has accommodations for about 32 patients, and
is situated on a picturesque knoll overlooking the Charles
River. There are two buildings of brick connected by a
corridor.
