The Main Public Library Building is conveniently
located at Illinois and Pacific Aves, and was a gift
to the city from Andrew Carnegie in 1904. Its
shelves contain a large, well chosen collection of
books. People from all parts of the world take ad-
vantage of the comfortable, well lighted reading
rooms, particularly during the summer season.
