WILDCAT MT. GONDOLA, Route 16, Pinkham
Notch, Gorham, New Hampshire
The summit (4100-foot elevation) of Wildcat is a
photographer's paradise. In the foreground a
Gondola approaches the upper terminal after its
6800-foot ride up WILDCAT! In the background
is Mt. Washington, highest peak in Northeastern
U.S. and the center of the Presidential Range.
Built in the heart of the scenic splendor of the
White Mountain National Forest, the Wildcat
Gondola was the first in the U.S. Its colorful
cars operate year 'round for sightseers in sum-
mer and fall and skiers in the winter.
