Fall foliage adds its splendor to the 6,800-foot
ride on Wildcat's Gondola lift. Two peaks of the
Presidential Range in the background are from
left to right, Mt. Adams and Mt. Madison. Built
in the heart of the scenic splendor of the White
Mountain National Forest, the Wildcat Gondola
was the first in the U.S. Its colorful cars operate
year 'round for sightseers in summer and fall
and skiers in the winter.
