THE STEEL PIER, extending 1,000 feet into the
ocean from the Boardwalk, is a substantial structure at a
popular, point, and has an immense auditorium, a theatre,
and an assembly hall. A number of pavilions have also been
built upon it, affording protection from the sun to the thousands
who visit the pier for the air and view.
