BE PREPARED!
THIS IS THE MOTTO OF THE
BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA.
Each year the Boy Scouts take a course in woodcraft
and scout craft, generally spending ten days to two weeks in
some woods, where they receive practical tests. The view
shown gives an idea of how they pass their idle time. The
letter from home is not filled with anxiety, because his
mother knows he is safe, in good company, and fitting him-
self for the big things in life.
