HORTICULTURAL EXHIBIT
NEW YORK WORLD'S FAIR 1939
Gay and colorful, with bright awnings and grilled gate-
ways, is the Horticultural Exhibit at the New York World's
Fair 1939. The rotunda of the building resembles a big
tents with a peaked roof and the exhibit halls have roofs
as gay as the umbrella over the tables in the nearby tea
garden. Color is everywhere throughout the five acre area,
inside the building is the seasonal flower shows and dis-
plays of rare blooms, outside the building in the land-
scaping and in the gardens are complete planted units.
The building was designed by William A. Delano who
also planned the gardens and landscaping.
