THE HOSPITAL OF THE UNIVERSITY OF
VIRGINIA, located east of East Range, was begun April
11th, 1900. There is a central administration building, three
stories high, containing reception and consultation rooms,
offices, etc. Attached to it is one of the best clinical amphi-
theatres in the country, with operating room adjoining. Ou
each side are wards for sixty beds.
