The property was purchased from the estate of Seth
B. Hunt by Trenor W. Park, who intended it to be
a home for destitute women and children, bat his
untimely death prevented the accomplishment of his
object. In 1884. the trustees of the Park Home
conveyed the property to the trustees of the Soldiers
Home, who now own it.
