After Painting by Chris Jorgenson. This painting was made at the foot of Bright Angel Trail 6866 feet below El Tovar on rim. The Colorado River flows in a trough; to the north and to the south are towering peaks, canyons, ravines and gorges. The commanding peak of the view is Zoroaster Temple 7136 feet in elevation, but whose tip is not even then level with the canyon rim.
