Additional Details:
A greater portion of the Great Southwest before its industrial history began was a huge cattle range, bounded only by the horizon. For years immense herds roamed this region without knowledge of any other food than nutritious suncured Buffalo grass. The day of free range except in very few localities - has gone. The cattlemen have learned the value of pedigreed stock and a finer grade of stock has taken place of the long horned range cattle.
