Additional Details:
To commemorate the 300th anniversary of henry Hudson's first trip up the river that bears his name, a memorial bridge is to be erected at Spuyten Duyvil, New York, crossing the Harlem River. It will be of re-enforced concrete, 2870 feet long, 80 feet wide and 270 feet high (above tide-water), with a central span of 725 feet. The upper story is to have a roadway 50 feet wide and two walks for pedestrians, having a width of 15 feet each; four rapid transit tracks will be laid on the lower story. The bridge will cost about $4,000,000 and require nearly four years to build.
