YE have just been released from your
mother's apron strings.
YE are helpless in your infancy.
YE are as CREEN as the grass in May.
YE have come to College to be made into MEN.
Therefore, wE. the most noble and illustrious class of

lay down these ten mandates for your future guidance. lest YE sully the icy
Stillwater with your emerald colored bodies.
1st.
YE shall wear the headgear prescribed by
your MASTERS.
2nd.
YE shall wear derbies on the SABBATH
ON
3rd.
YE shall banish kid gloves and all conspicuous
clothing from your bodies.
4th.
YE shall abstain from the use of tobacco on
the CAMPUS.
5th.
YE shall not smoke pipes.

YE shall regard the faculty, ladies and upper-
class men as heathens do their GODS.

YE must obliterate from your minds all public
affections for the fairer sex.

YE shall not sally forth on the CAMPUS
with your scalps uncovered.
