Nearby are many trout streams, sparkling and refreshing lakes, the famous buffalo herd, Jewel Cave Nat'l Monument, Wind Cave Nat'l Park, the Needles Highway, an engineering marvel, Mt. Rushmore, "Shrine of Democracy" and Custer State Park. Not far from City, Korczak Ziolkowski, famous sculptor, is now working on "Chief Crazy Horse" Memorial for the Sioux Indians.
