This profile, formed during, the Ice Age,
was worshipped by the Indians as the profile
of the "Great Spirit," and was first discovered
by white men in 1805. The face, which meas-
ures 48 ft. from forehead to chin, is 1,200 ft.
above Profile Lake, and 3,200 ft. above sea
level.
