Albertus Magnus College
Liberal Arts College for Women,
Prospect Hill in New Haven, Connecticut. The
massive red brick home was designed by Pea-
body and Sterns, Boston architects and built in
1907 by Mr. Victor Tyler. The library paneling
is of Philippine teak wood. There are elaborate
carvings on the front staircase, front door and
foyer. On the newel post are the French inscrip-
tions, A Dieu, Foy and Aux Amis, Foyer, "To
God, Faith" and "To Friends, Hospitality."
Named for the late Bishop McAuliffe of Hart-
ford, the residence hall is located in the central
area of the forty-five acre campus.
