BATHING IN GREAT SOUTH BAY
Heckscher State Park is one of the state parks under
the jurisdiction of the Long Island State Park Commission.
The park is located on the Great South Bay 50 miles
from New York City, near East Islip. The principal
attractions are bay bathing, woodland picnic areas,
bridal paths and hiking trails.
