GOVERNOR'S PALACE
Sante Fe, New Mexico
America's oldest public building. Built in 1610,
it was the seat of government till 1901. Com-
pletely of adobe construction, the walls are
about three feet thick. It is still in use and is
open to the public to view the many displays
and exhibits.
