MIDDLESEX COUNTY COURT HOUSE, New Brunswick,
N. J., was built in 1840. Twice fire has damaged it ex-
tensively. The most striking feature of the building,
the huge columns of full length strips of California red-
wood were not part of the original design but were added
in remodeling after the first fire.
