WINCHELL HALL, named for the first Chancellor of
Syracuse University, the famous Professor Alexander Winchell,
was erected in 1900, and is an imposing four-story building
of red brick and Indiana limestone. It contains thirty rooms,
and is used as a dormitory for women.
