county seat of Utah County and the commer-
cial center of a very rich mineral and agri.
cultural district. It has a population of over
16,000 most of whom own their homes. Provo
nestles at the base of Mt. Timpanogos and
other majestic peaks of the Wasatch Moun-
tains at an altitude of 4,500 feet above sea
level.
