Often referred to as the Sky-Scraper Building, was
built in 1928 at a cost of over one million dollars.
At the right is the Central Branch which houses
the Metropolitan Y.M.C.A. Headquarters, the Council
of Churches, and many recreational facilities. The
Sky-Scraper Building houses facilities for the Armed
Services as well as rooms for both men and women.
