GOLD PAN GULCH AT PLEASURE ISLAND
A rustic section at Pleasure Island traces the
western movement of early New Englanders. Gun
fights are frequent. Stage coaches, covered wag-
ons, buckboards, surreys and a live steam rail-
road carry visitors into the romantic West. Dia-
mond Lil's Saloon (soft drinks only), the Chis-
holm Trail, a gold mining operation for guests,
and even a newspaper office are popular attrac-
tions. The multi-million dollar Park is in Wake-
field, Mass., outside Boston, on Route 128, Exit
21A.
