Arkadelphia, Arkansas
Clark County was created by the Legislature of
Missouri Territory on Dec. 15, 1818, and named
for the territorial governor, William Clark. It
comprised, roughly, all of present Clark,
Springs, Garland, Pike and Dallas counties.
