On the famous Redwood Highway
Near the California Coast
Stand monarchs of the Centuries
The majestic Redwood host.
They have witnessed generations,
As they come and as they go,
Proclaiming the Eternal Truth-
We shall reap whate'er we sow.
Many were already standing,
Lone, magnificent, and grand,
When Moses from Mount Nebo's height
Saw afar the Promised Land.
Witnesses of many ages,
The Eternal speaks through thee
And tells how Time will work wonders
Hinting of Eternity.
