Constructed at a cost of $1,500,000, at the
edge of the city of San Antonio, this dam is
across a dry channel which drains the rain.

River, over which there are about 100 bridges
within the city limits. This damn is for flood
prevention, but has been made one of the
most attractive drives in the city, with clever
lighting effects.
