SOUTHEAST LIGHTHOUSE
BLOCK ISLAND, RHODE ISLAND
Standing majestically on Mohegan Bluffs, 163 feet
above the beach, this is the highest lighthouse on
the Northeast coast. The first lantern was lighted
in 1875 - today there is a 3 million candlepower
beacon visible 35 miles out at sea.
