BLOCK ISLAND, RHODE ISLAND: This is a view of
North Light, erected in 1867 and still standing. The
first North Light was built in 1829 and washed
away, the second in 1837 and the third in 1857.
This picturesque old light is a welcome sight to the
many yachtsmen and commercial fishermen who sail
these waters.
