Mystic Seaport, Mystic, Conn.
One of the last of the walking-beam sidewheelers.
Built in 1899, she ran from Poughkeepsie to Highland an
the Hudson River until 1942. She was then transferred
to Bridgeport, Conn., where she was used as an excursion
boat until 1949. Exemplifies an almost extinct type of
steam propulsion.
