S. S. "ADMIRAL"
The new streamlined excursion steamer
"Admiral," is the largest river passenger
steamer ever built in America, the first to be
streamlined and air-conditioned.
The sleek, streamlined design and absence
of all exterior decorative frills is the most
outstanding feature in the appearance of the
new steamer.
With a length of 375 feet, the new steamer
is longer than an average city block. Her
steel hull is divided into 74 water-tight com-
partments and is so constructed that with as
many as 11 of these compartments flooded,
the vessel would still remain afloat.
