This is a faithful reproduction of the original
Lafayette, built by William Norris and Company of
Philadelphia in 1837. It was the first BGO engine
with a horizontal boiler and has been featured in
the motion pictures, "Wells Fargo" and "Stand Up
and Fight," and in many railroad pageants.
