The old "Oakdale Tavern" estab-
lished in 1790, has been re-opened. Though
thoroughly renovated, it retains all of its
Colonial quaintness and is unquestionably
the most attractive Inn in New England.
Thirst and fatigue are soon forgotten be-
fore the great wood fires, and such delicious
fried chicken and hot brown waffles can not
be found anywhere else north of Virginia.
Only a short mile out of Wallingford,
Connecticut, on the old Boston Post Road,
it is an ideal tarrying place for motor folk.
Ample garage.
Look for the sign of the "Barred Gate."
