Virginia City, Nevada
Established 1867. William H. Marks (owner), William L. Marks
(manager). One of the five famous bars in the U. S. Featured
in Life Magazine, May 27, 1946, along with Ye Old Cellar,
Chicago; Buckhorn Lodge, Denver; Cock-N-Bull, Hollywood;
Zebra Room, Town House, Los Angeles. Home of the gold-
plated crystal chandeliers, famous crystal glassware, myste-
rious clock, old orchestrion, historic pictures. Present
owner has been with the establishment since Nov. 3, 1901.
Noted for its fancy mixed drinks.
