builder of submarines, was founded in 1899, and opened
the Groton plant in 1911. Its postwar products include
Ebco Offset Presses, commercial foundry and machine work,
but The Electric Boat Company is continually engaged in
the development, alteration, and construction of the most
modern submarines.
