Golden Spur Park is pleasantly situated at the head
of Niantic River, where there is safe and delightful
boating and canoeing. There are also free swingsy
under the shade of the old apple trees. Fine picnic
ground free to Sunday Schools and Societies. There
is a merry-go-round, fun parlor, museum, bowling;
shore dinners and lunch, ice cream and confectionery
are on sale. Dancing with a fine orchestra. Moving
pictures, afternoon and evening, free to patrons of
the trolley, and other pleasant and innocent amuse
ments. East Lyme trolley leaves State Street, New
London, and Niantic, ten minutes before and twenty
minutes after the hour during the season.
