In the heart of Monohans stands a pioneer building which houses the Hayes Museum. Here is a collection of fossil remains, artifacts, and relics from the ruins of a large wagon train hat of some unknown date was destroyed by Indians at nearby Willow Springs. Five miles east of Monohans lies the Monohans Sandhills State Park. Amateur archaeologist continue to find many Indian artifacts that have been covered for centuries by the shifting sands. |
