This unusual picture shows a skier rushing down
the Headwall during a race in the Famous Tucker-
man Ravine on Mt. Washington. Scores of race
enthusiasts watch the daring run down the 1200 ft.
wall. The huge ravine collects powder snow con-
stantly blown from the high peaks and so provides
the finest of skiing until late Spring -frequently
until June.
