Well, we are on special duty with BUTOC
now. Have been moved from Shell Camp No. 2
to a new outdoor camp between North Camp and Gates
ville.
This STU is a Special Training Unit to educate
illiterates from the TD's. The boys will get some
military work and some regular school work. It
seems to be a good idea and should help the un-
educated when they get back to civilian life.
Since this is a brand new camp, we have been
clearing brush, pitching tent's, etc. I've also
been trying to absorb a little sunshine.
Got a nice letter from Aunt Della yesterday. She
tells me that they are both okay. Abŏut all for now
