In order to afford most efficent training, Ft.
Benning has been expanded to include the four
main elements of modern blitzkrieg warfare - .
Observation and Bombardment Air Corps
Troops, Parachute Troops, Armored Troops
and completely motorized Infantry. Perfected
tactical use of motorized detachment is one phase
in this training course. This view shows a truck
crossing pontoon bridge which had been thrown
across the river by a group of army engineers.
