| The locomotive and the track are built on the "rack and pinion" principle. The cars seat 40 persons and, on the ascent, are pushed up the mountain. On the descent, the locomotive precedes the car, backing down in front of it, thereby insuring complete safety. The strange appearing locomotives are sturdy affairs, each with their individual car. |
