A cablegram from the "Resolute" Cruise dated
May 2nd, at Cairo reports arrival on time after
a smooth passage and with weather clear and
temperature of 80 degrees. All the passengers gre
well and happy and reported as enthusiastic abortt
all features of the Cruise.
During the eight and a half days' voyage from
Bombay to Suez there was an almost continuous
round of entertainments, the social climax of the
Cruise. These included a Fancy Dress Ball, a
Bridge tournament, a Concert, Lectures and Travel
Talks, a Shuffle Board Tournament, and Deck
Dances under the last of the brilliant skies of the
tropics.
It surely sounds cheerful!
Now your friends are enjoying the brilliant
pageant of life as it is lived in present day Cairo,
and the glamour of ancient Egypt in the shade of
The Pyramids and the Sphinx.
Then Wednesday morning they sail from Port
Said for the Homeland, with incidental calls at
Naples, the French Riviera, Gibraltar and
Madeira. You will see them soon.
