PAXTON PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH Paxtang, Harrisburg, Pa. Congregation established around 1720; organized by the Presbytery of Donegal in 1732. This building was erected in 1740 and has been in use from that date, making it the oldest Presbyterian church building in continuous use in Pennsylvania, and one of the oldest in the United States. INTERIOR--restored to its Colonial period in 1931. |
