METROPOLITAN BEACH Michigan The largest and finest fresh water beach of its kind in the world created by the Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Authority, a five county public park and parkway agency. It is located 5 miles east of Mt. Clemens and 22 miles northeast from downtown Detroit. The park offers such recreational activities as shuffleboard, pitchputt golf, roller skating, archery and water skiing.
